Brett has been involved in Banking and Finance since 1984. Starting his career in New Zealand, he has worked in areas such as chattel finance, motor vehicle dealer finance, commercial property lending, business lending, residential and personal lending and mortgage insurance.
Prior to leaving New Zealand in 2002, Brett was responsible for the credit management of the Motor Vehicle Dealer Finance portfolio for NZ as well as managing the Vendor Credit team for the country. Brett was transferred to Australia to take on the Head of Broker Relationship Lending role for Queensland. Brett’s last role in Esanda was on a year long project documenting process and procedures for business chattel lending.
Bretts experiences range from lending, business unit management, credit management, recoveries and people management.
Brett has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) which helps him gain a good understanding of how businesses work, allowing him to assist customers through correct loan structuring and obtaining finance that works.
Brett’s roles have allowed him to develop strong lending skills and he has a capacity to see what is important to the customer and always seeks to obtain a win/win result. Brett develops strong relationships with customers through taking the time to understand their business to objectively see what the end goal is and to provide sound practical lending solutions.
